Operations Coach Gadson established
Virginia Elite in 2008 with the organizations
mission to be the premier
grassroots basketball program based in Northern Virginia and recognized
as one of the top programs within the Washington,D.C. area,
Maryland and Virginia (DMV).
Gadson is a member of the Dulles-Leesburg (VA) Chapter of Kappa
Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Pictured with 2016 Alumni Collin

Thomas Gadson has been
involved with basketball for
more than 30 years, from his
youth days playing basketball
and football in the YMCA and
Police Athletic Leagues (PAL)
youth leagues in Savannah
through high school and
college. After high school he
attended Livingstone College
in Salisbury, North Carolina
which competes in the Central

Carmichael, Coach 17
Rodney Carmichael (Norfolk State University) enters his
third season with Virginia Elite High School Elite program
coach. Under Coach Carmichael guidance, Grant Golden (University
of Richmond), Ronald Alston (NJIT), James Butler (1st
Team All Met/US Naval Academy), and others who are playing
Division 2 and 3 collegiate basketball.
The former Marymount, assistant coach with the menís
basketball program for the 2014-15 season. He brings extensive
coaching experience to the Saints bench including a stint as
head coach of TG Sandhausen Ė a German basketball team
As a player, Carmichael played professionally on the
international stage, spending time with the Winnepeg Cyclones
and Germany Oberelshingen where he holds a club record for three
pointers n a single season with 68.
Before his professional tenure, Carmichael helped Norfolk State
to an 82-13 record from 1994-97. During his time with the
Spartans, Carmichael was named to the Black Conference
All-American team, All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic
Association (CIAA) and completed his collegiate career scoring
over 1,000 points and recording 500 rebounds.

Gadson, Assistant Coach 17
Elite alumni has been part of the program since 2008. While with
Virginia Elite Coach Gadson led the team to several
championships during his tenure in the program. Additionally, he
played at Westfield High School where he played under Coach Doug
playing at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, Delafield,
Wisconsin where he played under Coach Brian Richert and current
Georgia Tech Assistant Coach, Tyler Benson.
Starks, Head Coach 16
Starks has been involved with AAU and youth basketball for many
years within the Northern Virginia community.
Williams-Baffoe, Assistant Coach 16 and Under
Herb Williams-Baffoe has an extensive coaching and youth
development background within Northern Virginia.
Supporting the mission of youth
development, area within the Northern Virginia community
coach Baffoe has become a mentor to many young men and women
with the community.
Herb Williams-Baffoe, Sports Director at the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington,
recently was the recipient of the Vade Bolton Ė Ann Rodriguez Legacy Award for his counseling and mentoring of youth.
Hudson, Middle and High School Elite Division Coach and Program
Coach Jesse Hudson, is a graduate of Morehouse College where he
received his undergraduate degree and a graduate of University
of Virginia where he received his Masterís Degree, enters his
first year with Virginia Elite Basketball.
Hudson is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Coach Hudson serves the community as an educator and assistant
principal with Fairfax County Public Schools. Because of his
dedication to public service Coach Hudson is a mentor to many
students through his support of higher education. He has coached
and mentored players at every level of athletics and continues
to provide mentorship for student athletes.
Hamilton, Middle and High School Elite Division Coach
Maso Hamilton joins Virginia Eliteís mission to train,
develop, and coach elite-level talent in Northern Virginia. A
native of Reston, VA, Coach Hamilton attended Herndon High
School under legendary coach Gary Hall and played alongside
Northern Virginia standouts Ricky Lucas and Scottie Reynolds.
During his time at Herndon, Hamilton won a district championship
and was selected to the Concorde District All-Tournament Team, 1s
t Team All-District, All-Concorde District Defensive
Team and garnered All-Northern Region honors.
went on to earn a full scholarship to play combo-guard at Angelo
State University (TX) in the Lone Star Conference. At ASU,
Hamilton helped lead the program to its first appearance in the
Division II NCAA Tournament in nearly a decade. After his senior
season, Hamilton was award with the Hollandís Award, which is
given to the Universityís top menís varsity basketball
student-athlete. Hamilton also excelled academically at ASU
establishing himself as an honor-student. Hamilton made numerous
appearances on the Deanís List Honor-Roll and was inducted
into the prestigious Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society.
Hamilton graduated from Angelo State University in 2009 with a
bachelorís degree in Journalism.
Hamilton continued his education at the Howard University School
of Law where he earned his doctorate. As a law student, Hamilton
was a member of the Moot Court Trial Advocacy Team. During
Hamilton, last year of law school, he was awarded with the CALI
Excellence for the Future Award for receiving the highest grade
in his Comparative Constitutional Law course after drafting an
extensive scholarly article comparing the United States 14th
Amendment Equal Protection law with South Africaís 9(2) Equal
Protection law. The paper is currently under review and is being
considered for publication in the American Comparative Law
Journal. Hamilton graduated from Howard Law in 2015 with a Juris
passed the Maryland Bar Exam in July of 2016 and works in

Coach Josh Green graduated from Flint Hill
2010...went to junior college for football as a result his
football career ended sooner than anticipated. Coach Green
played every level flint hill had to offers for basketball 7th
grade-12th grade. Now an assistant varsity basketball coach for
5 years who also employed at lower school for basketball clinics

Donaldson was raised in Langhorne, Pennsylvania where he
graduated from Neshaminy High School. Coach Donaldson played
basketball for his high school for three consecutive years. Upon
graduation from high school Coach Donaldson joined the United
States Army. While in the Army Coach Donaldson played basketball
for his company basketball team and then became the head coach
of the White Sands Army post travel basketball team, who
traveled to various military installations to compete against
the best military basketball teams in the region.
his tour of military duty, Coach Donaldson relocated to Arizona
and instantly pursued coaching basketball at the City of Phoenix
parks and recreation. Later, Coach Donaldson decided to coached
Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) for the Phoenix West Valley
Warriors in conjunction with the Richard Dumas and friends
foundations. Coach Donaldson went on to build a 4th grade
competitive basketball team, who went to the All Valley
Championship rounds two years in a row and was successful in
capturing the championship the first year, both games were held
in the Phoenix Suns Arena. Upon relocating to Northern Virginia,
Coach Donaldson decided to join Virginia Elite Basketball Club.
Donaldson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety
Administration Management from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix
Arizona. He currently serves as an employee of the Federal
Mason, High School Elite Division Coach
Coach Mason joined the Virginia
Elite Grassroots Program in 2016 to continue training,
developing and coaching elite-level talent.
In addition to a Bachelorís Degree,
Coach Mason also holds a Masterís Degree in Management from
Lesley University Ö a Masterís Degree in Strategic Studies
from Air War College Ö and an executive-level fellowship
certificate in International Security from The George Washington
Mason currently works at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
in Washington D.C.
Coach Dave Mason is a retired
Colonel from the United States Air Force, having served 24 years
in nuclear-related duties to include command of nuclear-capable
combat units. He was born and raised in Clinton North Carolina
where he graduated from Clinton High School.
While there Coach Mason lettered in varsity basketball
for four consecutive years and was only one of two school
freshmen to make the varsity team.
Upon graduation Coach Mason attended N.C. A&T State
University on academic scholarship where he earned a Bachelorís
of Arts and Sciences Degree in Biology and earned his commission
as an Air Force officer.
Afterwards Coach Mason continued his coaching career and took an
elite team of 9th grade talent and earned an
invitation to play in the AAU Super Showcase event at Disneyís
Wide World of Sports in Orlando Florida.
Of the 64 ninth grade teams invited, Coach Masonís NOVA
Heat Elite team finished 8.
Coach Mason stood-up and built a very successful NOVA
Heat Elite program and since inception in 2009, the organization
has sent 8 aspiring young elite athletes to compete at the
