HIGH SCHOOL GRASSROOTS PROGRAM

Virginia Elite Under Armour is one of the top grassroots/AAU programs in the Washington, DC area (Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland). Virginia Elite Under Armour is a program dedicated to enriching and changing lives. Founded by Coach Thomas Gadson and based in Northern Virginia, the program plays in the Under Armour Association.

Virginia Elite 15U-17U boys teams play on the Under Armour Association and other national grassroot circuits, respectively. Based out of Northern Virginia (Reston, Herndon areas) to include Washington DC and Maryland. The program has produced over 80 collegiate players throughout the program existence and continues to provide a national platform that provides every player the opportunity to have exposure to showcase their talents.

Virginia Elite High School Teams have two division: Under Amour and National Teams. Each will play on national exposure tournament circuits under the Virginia Elite brand. Both divisions will receive the same level of exposure to college coaches through the Virginia Elite network.

EXPERIENCED COACHES
Coach Gadson and the coaching staff has over 75 years of coaching and leadership experience. With the committed to developing players to achieve their goals the staff of high school and junior coaches collaborate to provide the highest level of development for our players.

EVOLUTION INTO PREPARING TO COMPETE

As the only premier grassroots basketball program in Virginia and one within the Washington DC area, our team of experienced coaches and talent evaluator are guided by many years of leadership, coaching and mentorship development that expands over 50 years. Players who are willing to work and expand your abilities, Virgnia Elite is the organization for you. We provide the tools and experience needed for player to reach their potential. Players with a high basketball IQ who know how to lead and train at a high level are a valuable asset to their team and coaches.

Elite Wellness provides our teams an opportunity to train together and reach our team performance goals and in-season goals. We develop a periodized program to improve sport-specific skills, strength, power, endurance and overall athletic performance. Team training emphasizes injury prevention and includes exercises aimed at decreasing the likelihood of common injuries associated with the given sport.

EXPOSURE FOR COLLEGE
We focus on developing players throughout the experience of competition. With Virginia Elite, players will develop an appreciation for hard work and paying attention to the details of the game.

National Exposure

The collection of national grassroots events that all Virginia Elite teams participate in annually. These events provide a platform of high-level competition which over the years Virginia Elite has excelled and will continue to play in to provide our players that competition required for the program. By participating in these national event Virginia Elite provide a provides a platform that exposes our players to the type of competition that will challenge their skill and determination to succeed.

As a result, the alumni of Virginia Elite have gone on to be awarded scholarships from various division 1, 2 and 3 colleges. The basketball court is our platform and the game is our vehicle to teach lifelong lessons. Together, we create memorable experiences, have fun and build character in our student-athletes.

Success

Virginia Elite has created a national brand that has resulted in many of the players expanding their athletic and educational careers beyond high school.

The program mission is to provide an athletic platform as a tool the enhance players opportunities to extend their academic opportunities beyond high school.

Attitude, commitment, discipline, and sacrifice has been the key elements used to build on our program's rich history and its tradition to succeed. Our plan is to always expose student-athletes to a family atmosphere in the hopes that they will build on this tradition and understand the responsibility to hand it down to younger counterparts.
